Pallavi Aiyar is an award winning journalist and author. She has recently been appointed Brussels correspondent for the Business Standard prior to which she was Beijing bureau chief for the Hindu. She reported from China for over 6 years. Her book Smoke and Mirrors: An Experience of China was published by Harper Collins to wide acclaim in 2008. She is the winner of the 2007 Prem Bhatia Award for excellence in political reporting, the youngest ever recipient of the prize. Pallavi has degrees from St Stephens College, Delhi University, Oxford University and the London School of Economics.
