EVIAN QUOTE
The real losers are cotton farmers in West Africa, textile workers in low income Asian and Muslim states, and low income shoppers in the poorest quarters of America and Europe. The Doha Round was supposed to help the world's poor, by lowering subsidies that keep Mali's cotton out of textile mills, tariffs that limit the flow of Cambodian T-shirts and other clothes to shelves. Mission
"The Open World Initiative (OWI) is a network and movement of young professionals from diverse constituencies, continents and cultures who are committed to an open world economy, sustainable economic growth and human development. OWI supports open societies, greater integration and responsible governance on the global, national and corporate and institutional levels as indispensable to achieving these goals. The OWI network aims to generate awareness of development issues and the multilateral system, serve as a forum for dialogue by and for the next generation of leaders, and keep a dialogue with decision-makers at international, national and corporate levels."

As a still integral part of the Evian Group, “OWI” aims both to derive experience and expertise from established members, the current generation of leaders, and to infuse the Group with ideas and ensure its proper “connectivity” to the next generation. The age limit for membership is roughly considered around 40, though some exceptions of more established members exist...
